Typography Group Task: Creating an Alphabet

We were put into groups and asked to bring in items / objects to create an alphabet with. I was somewhat underwhelmed with this brief, I predicted the majority of the group’s final outcomes would look quite similar; quite simply a collection of small objects grouped together in shapes of letters. I suggested we used actual art materials to create the letters, for example ink. We then thought about printing, and someone suggested using alphabet pasta.

Having completed the task, on reflection and perhaps to develop further I would continue the idea of using the letters to print with. I would experiment with ink, paint and other media to see what is successful. I think the concept of
